This evening around 17:30 Station 44 was toned out for a tree in the road near the intersection of SR872 and Bark Shanty. Due to the fact that all units were returning from the previous MVA Patrol 44-4 with Chiefs 44 (D.VanWhy) and 44-10 (C.Cooney), and Rescue 44-8 with Chief 44-30 (J.Burgett) all responded at time of dispatch. Once on scene personnel provided traffic control until the power company could get the lines off the roadway. All units were in quarters at 19:05

This afternoon at 16:10 Station 44 was toned out for a reported MVA in Keating Township on the Gardeau bridge across from the Forest House Inn. It was also reported 1 vehicle through the bridge unknown injuries. Chief 44 (D.VanWhy), Chief 44-10 (C.Conney), Chief 44-20 (M.Bacon), and Chief 44-30 (J.Burgett) all responded at time of dispatch. Moments later Rescue 44-8, Patrol 44-4, Engine 44-2, Ambulance 44-6 would all respond.

Today at 13:45 Station 44 and Station 48 (Coudersport) were dispatched for a structure fire on Stiner Street in the village of Costello. Chief 44-20 (M.Bacon) and Chief 44-71 (S.Orlowski) both responded at time of dispatch. Moments later Engine 44-2 and Rescue 44-8 responded followed shortly after by Patrol 44-4. While en route to the scene it was reported that the structure was fully involved with flames showing. After hearing this information Chief 44-20 called for a full company response from Station 16 (Sinnamahoning).

Back on June 1st the Austin Daisy Scouts came to visit the members of the AVFD at their monthly meeting. The troop was able to go through all the trucks and the equipment they carry. The girls also asked a few questions and were able to try on some turn out gear and helmets. At the beginning of the meeting the scouts would present a poster that they had made for the members as well as sing a song. After the presentation the troop was treated to ice cream at Big Mike's Dairy Dine by Police Chief Day.
