Retiring Ambulance 44-7
Tuesday, 20 October 2009

On Friday October 16, 2009 the Austin Volunteer Fire Company once again retired a vehicle due to purchasing a new one. Ambulance Chief Colleen Zenns officially put Ambulance 44-7 into retirement after she signed the papers to receive the new Ambulance from Spitler. Ambulance 44-7 was a 1988 Ford that was second due on all calls since the fire department received their primary ambulance in 2004. For the next few weeks Austin will only have its primary ambulance in service, once we get the licensure of the new 44-7 the Ambulance will be put into service at that time. An additional write up with pictures will be coming soon.
