Friday, 17 December 2010
Today at 11:00 Tioga County 911 set off the Chief tones and asked for Chief 44 (D.VanWhy) to call the center for a special assignment. Chief 44 was advised to call the North Pole and speak to a Mr. Clause. After the two spoke for a few minutes Chief 44 advised his station that Santa Clause is requesting our department to help him once again this year in getting him to Austin and surrounding areas to meet with the boys and girls. So tomorrow December 18th starting at 5:30 Engine 44-2 and Santa Clause will be going house to house to meet the children. We ask that you leave your porch light on if you would like us to stop at your house. From all of us here at AVFD we would like to wish you all a safe and Happy Holidays.
