|Tree Fort Fire|
|Tuesday, 23 October 2012|
Today at 17:30 Stations 44 and 48 (Coudersport) were toned out on box 44-02 for a camp fire on Oak Lane in the Austin Boro. Chief 44 (C.Cooney), Chief 44-10 (M.Bacon), Chief 44-20 (J.Burgett), Chief 44-30 (N.Burgett) and Chief 44-71 (S.Orlowski) all responded at time of dispatch.
Just a few moments later Engine 44-2 and Tanker 44-5 responded followed by Ambulance 44-7. While en route it was reported that this was going to be a tree fort on fire. Once on scene Chief 44 reported a tree fort fire that had been put out by bystanders, established Austin command and recalled Station 48. The Engine crew would pull a 1" wildfire attack line and go to work at mopping up the hot spots. Once all the hot spots were taken care of and the Engine was put back in service Command would report fire out and all units returning.
