Odor Investigation

Today around 13:00 Station 44 was dispatched for an odor investigation in Sylvania Township reported Natural Gas just past the new bridge. Cheif 44-10 (C.Cooney) and Chief 44-71 (S.Orlowski) responded at time of dispatch to the scene.

Chief 44-10 asked all units (Engine 44-2, Ambulance 44-7) to stand by at Station 44. Chief 44-10 (C.Cooney) and Chief 44-71 (S.Orlowski) then conducted a search of the suspected area with no results. Station 44 was recalled. After returning to the Station Lt.44 (S.Frank) recieved a phone call from the initial caller stating that the odor was located in Portage Township, just past Jack Cooney's Bridge. Chief 44-10 (C.Cooney), Chief 44-70 (J.Moate) and Lt. 44 (S.Frank) responded to the scene and secured area while awaiting the arrival of PPL Gas.
